Driving Directions to Cave Hill
FROM NEW YORK: Interstate 95 - North to Exit 69 in Old Saybrook. North on Route 9 to Exit 7. (2 mile long exit) At end of exit, turn left - to light - turn right onto Route 82 - cross East Haddam Bridge - bear left onto Route 149 - North, continue 4 miles to junction - turn left onto Route 151 - North, continue one and 1/2 miles to Cave Hill on the right.
FROM MERRIT PARKWAY / WILBUR CROSS PARKWAY: (Route 15) Continue north to Meriden, follow signs for Middletown - Route 66 - East. (Exit 68) then Exit 18 to Get onto Route 66 - East and continue into Middletown until you reach Main Street. Turn left onto Main Street - about four traffic lights, continuing straight, cross Middletown/Portland Bridge still Route 66 - East. Stay in right lane, after crossing bridge, bear right, still on Route 66 - East. Continue about 6 miles to traffic light in Cobalt, at light turn right onto Route 151 - South, continue 7 miles on winding, country road to Cave Hill on left.
FROM CENTRAL MASSACHUSETTS: Interstate 91 - South to Exit 22, Middletown, take Route 9 - South to Exit 16. Bear right crossing over Middletown/Portland Bridge onto Route 66 - East. Stay in right lane, after crossing bridge, bear right, still on Route 66 - East. Continue about 6 miles to traffic light in Cobalt, at light turn right onto Route 151 - South, continue 7 miles on winding, country road to Cave Hill on left.
FROM EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS AREA: In Connecticut, take Interstate 395 - South to Exit 82 in Norwich, to Route 2 - West, take Exit 18 - turn left off of exit, onto Route 16, continue 5 miles to traffic light, turn left at light onto Route 149 - South to Moodus. Continue 4 miles into Moodus center. By Moodus Farms gas station, Route 149 bears to the left, YOU go straight, onto Route 151 - North, one mile to stop sign, turn right, still on Route 151 - Cave Hill is 1/2 mile on the right.
Another route FROM BOSTON: Mass Pike to Exit 9 for Hartford-NY, 42 miles on I-84 to Exit 55 to Route 2 - East, Norwich-New London. Route 2 for 14 miles to Exit 13. Right onto Route 66 West - 4 miles. Left onto Route 196 South for 6 miles to stop sign. Straight onto Route 151 South for 1 mile to Cave Hill on the left.
