Welcome to Cave Hill Resort... the summer vacation, family place where an informal, relaxing time awaits you with a graciously rustic country setting. Our family-owned, family-operated resort since the 1920’s is dedicated to entertaining you, our guests, with a perfect blend of genuine family hospitality and a "fun, quaint and cozy" atmosphere that distinguishes us from the rest.
Cave Hill is located high amid the rolling hills of the magnificent Connecticut River Valley. Here in summer’s splendor, you can enjoy Cave Hill’s acres and acres of natural beauty with its spacious lawns and many shade trees. There are hammocks for relaxing and picnic tables in front of your cabins. Cave Hill is an ideal vacation spot for a week, weekend or our "mid-week special".

Our Accommodations:

Poolside:

Poolside: Eight motel-style rooms accommodating up to 3 in a room. Each room has a double bed and twin bed. These rooms are air-conditioned with ceiling fans.

Willows:

Willows: Six motel-style rooms accommodating up to 4 or 5 in a room. Each room has a double bed and two – three twin beds. These rooms are air-conditioned with ceiling fans.

Cactus, El Rancho, Pine Inn, Ritz:

Cactus, El Rancho, Pine Inn, Ritz: Large two-room cabins, each room has a double and twin bed. These cabins will accommodate a family of 4 – 6. These rooms have ceiling fans.

Lazy Bones, Cozy Nook:

Lazy Bones, Cozy Nook: These two cabins each have two adjoining rooms on each side with a double bed and two twin beds accommodating up to 4 per side. These rooms have ceiling fans.

Sunset Lodge, Crows Nest:

Sunset Lodge, Crows Nest: Two-story cottages with four suites (two adjoining rooms on each side). Double and two twins accommodating up to 4. Sunset has ceiling fans; Crows Nest has standing-floor fans.

Me-4-U:

Me-4-U: A single cabin with a queen-size bed. This room has large ceiling fan and is air-conditioned.

Day Events

Cave Hill welcomes your company picnics, school class picnics, family reunions or gatherings, and less formal weddings for a day event. We are open from June 1 to mid-September operating seven days per week. Our facilities are available for a 6 hour function. (Between 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.)  Since we are also a summer resort, there will be house guests on the premises during the months of July and August through Labor Day weekend. We book only one group per day on a first come basis.

Our Moodus, Connecticut  bed and breakfast is the perfect getaway for Connecticut lodging, cycling, bird watching, hiking, swimming and other activities available for your Connecticut vacation. Come relax and refresh yourself at our large wooded retreat nestled in the countryside of Eastern Connecticut.
